The geophysicists are coming to the end of their sampling time, and today saw the deployment and successful recovery of the final dredge. Seismics have also been deployed, but had to be temporarily halted when Katie Peña and Matt Minifie, on marine mammal watch at the time, spotted a whale near the seismic gear.

Tomorrow is the last day of seismics before we head off southwest towards Elephant Island to start the coral sampling once again. We have 17 days to go.
