Deploying and retrieving various sorts of scientific equipment and fishing gear

What do you enjoy the most?

The variety of work and the new people that I meet

Whats the least enjoyable aspect of your work?

Trips that are longer than a month

Do you get seasick? Any tips for not getting ill?

No I haven’t been sick yet (touch wood!)

What is your favourite memory from working on the ship?

This would have to be arriving at Cape Adare in Antarctica, it was a beautiful evening, without a breath of wind, with icebergs, penguins, and whales all about. Just breathtaking (literally)

What do you do when not working?

Read books, watch movies, eat and sleep…….
