NIWA voyage to the Macquarie Ridge

NIWA voyage to the Macquarie Ridge

Tangaroa, the research vessel of New Zealand’s National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (or more easy on the tongue – NIWA) has just returned from 7 weeks in Antarctica. However, she will not be on shore for long. Over the Easter weekend NIWA vessels staff and scientists will work hard preparing her for the next voyage. The trip will depart Wellington on Wednesday the 26th of March and will return on the 26th of April.

Join research scientists from New Zealand and Australia as they head south along the Macquarie Ridge. Learn more about the trip through these webpages, and our daily ship-to-shore reports.
